Sam Fox Brings Society Swan to Scottsdale Fashion Square

I am so excited about Sam Fox’s newest concept and vision. This fall, the Valley’s most prolific restaurateur will open Society Swan, an American brasserie that blends timeless glamour with modern ease.

A New Era of Dining

Taking inspiration from the socialites of New York’s “Mad Men” era and the charm of Paris’ Swan Island, Society Swan is designed to be a place for lingering. The restaurant will officially open its doors on October 15, taking over the former two-story Kona Grill in the south wing of Scottsdale Fashion Square.

“Society Swan is all about bringing a little glamour to everyday dining, but in a way that’s relaxed, fun and never fussy,” Fox said in a news release.

What to Expect on the Menu

Society Swan is described as part timeless American brasserie and part French daydream. The menu is as eclectic as the inspiration behind it.

Start with fried zucchini, French onion soup, or something from the raw bar featuring sushi rolls and shrimp cocktail. Lighter options include fresh salads and hearty grain bowls. Entrees span from comfort classics like a cheeseburger to elevated choices like filet mignon. A special “frites” section highlights dishes such as Wagyu skirt steak, braised chicken, and fried fish because, as the restaurant notes, everything tastes better with fries.

The bar program is equally enticing. Cocktails include the CIAO Brooklyn, crafted with bonded rye whiskey, a vermouth trio, toasted pecan, and house bitters. During happy hour, guests can enjoy $10 martinis in a setting designed for both everyday indulgence and special celebrations.

Scottsdale Fashion Square’s Culinary Glow-Up

Society Swan is the latest addition to Scottsdale Fashion Square’s transformation into a true dining destination. In the past year, the mall welcomed Santa Monica hotspot Elephante, and later this fall, Telefèric Barcelona and Catch will join the lineup. International favorite Din Tai Fung is also slated to open in 2026.

With Society Swan, Fox once again raises the bar for dining in the Valley. Known for concepts like Culinary Dropout, Doughbird, Blanco, Flower Child, and the luxury hotel The Global Ambassador, Fox continues to shape Arizona’s food and hospitality scene.
